The basic process of industrial wastewater treatment
2025/06/03
The basic process of industrial wastewater treatment usually includes pretreatment, main treatment and advanced treatment. In the pretreatment stage, large particle impurities are intercepted by the grid, inorganic particles are removed by the grit chamber, and the water quality and quantity are balanced by the regulating tank. If there is oil, oil separation treatment is required. For high-concentration wastewater, neutralization or dilution may be carried out. The main treatment process depends on the water quality, and physical and chemical methods (such as coagulation sedimentation, air flotation) or biological methods (activated sludge process, biofilm process) are selected to degrade organic matter and remove nitrogen and phosphorus. Advanced treatment is aimed at refractory substances, using membrane separation, advanced oxidation and other technologies to make the water quality meet the discharge standards or reuse requirements. The final effluent needs to be monitored, and the sludge undergoes dewatering and stabilization treatment to prevent secondary pollution.
